The premise
Every Monday, a young woman is murdered in the subway, leading psychiatrist Setsuko Suma to investigate Dr. Rei Aku's deprogramming of former sect members.

In the neon-drained underworld of Tokyo's subway system, a series of eerily methodical Monday murders draws forensic psychiatrist Setsuko Suma into a labyrinth of cults, coercion, and fractured minds. Her investigation pulls her toward the enigmatic Dr. Rei Aku and his controversial work deprogramming former sect members — a trail that grows disturbingly personal the deeper she follows it. Director Sogo Ishii crafts a neo-noir nightmare where the horror is less about the body count and more about what has been done to the human psyche.
