The premise

When a glamorous fashion photographer crosses paths with a beguiling, enigmatic older woman, she finds her waking life slowly invaded by dark fantasies and inexplicable misfortune. Rooted in Italian genre cinema of the early 1970s and adapted from a cult comic strip, Baba Yaga blends erotic unease with occult dread in a way that feels closer to a fever dream than a conventional thriller. The film lingers in the space between seduction and menace, where curses manifest through the mundane objects of everyday life.
