What begins as a sun-drenched romantic encounter in Berlin quickly curdles into something far more sinister for an Australian photojournalist travelling alone. She finds herself locked inside a stranger's apartment with no way out, forced to navigate the shifting, suffocating psychology of her captor. Director Cate Shortland builds unbearable tension through confined spaces and two powerhouse performances, turning the city of walls into a deeply personal metaphor. This is a slow-burn character study wrapped in a nightmare of control and endurance.
