The premise
A single mother and a childless morgue technician are bound together by their relationship to a little girl they have reanimated from the dead.
Horror Vault's take
When a young girl dies, two women from very different walks of life find themselves drawn into a desperate, morally treacherous pact to keep her alive. Set against the sterile corridors of a Bronx hospital, this grounded reimagining of the Frankenstein myth trades gothic spectacle for raw emotional dread. The film probes the lengths to which love — and obsession — can push ordinary people past the boundaries of science and ethics, with quietly devastating results.
