The premise
A teenage girl with self-esteem issues finds confidence in the most unlikely way, by spending her summer battling vampires that prey on New Orleans' disenfranchised with the help of her best friend, the boy she's always pined for, and a peculiar rich girl.

Set against the vivid backdrop of New Orleans, Black as Night follows a self-doubting teenage girl who stumbles into a dangerous war against vampires preying on the city's most vulnerable residents. Armed with little more than determination and a ragtag crew of friends, she discovers reserves of courage she never knew she had. Equal parts creature-feature and coming-of-age story, the film balances genuine scares with an uplifting, community-driven heart.
