The premise
Jess, a newly separated mother and nurse, moves into her old family farmhouse with Tyler, her teenage daughter, and Owen, her eight-year-old son. One night, the family dog senses something in the woods and runs off to find it. He returns a couple of days later and attacks Owen, savagely biting him before Jess is able to intervene. Owen is rushed to the hospital. His condition worsens, and no one can figure out why... until Jess discovers a disturbing cure...

Freshly separated and still finding her footing, nurse and recovering addict Jess uproots her two kids to a remote family farmhouse — only for a single terrifying night in the surrounding woods to set off a chain of events that puts her son's life in grave danger. As Owen's condition spirals beyond any medical explanation, Jess is pushed to a desperate and deeply disturbing discovery about what might keep him alive. Blood is a slow-burn horror that weaponizes a mother's love, asking how far a parent will truly go when medicine runs out of answers. The rural setting and intimate family dynamics give the film an oppressive sense of inescapable dread.
