The premise

Private eye Rafe Guttman is hired by repressed, born-again Katherine to find her missing bad-boy brother. The trail leads him to a whorehouse run by a thousand-year-old vampire and secretly backed by Katherine's boss, televangelist Jimmy Current.

When a wisecracking private eye takes a missing-persons case for a strait-laced born-again Christian, the search through society's seedier corners leads somewhere far more dangerous than anyone bargained for. Beneath the neon glow of a seemingly ordinary brothel lurks an ancient, bloodthirsty evil — and the rot may reach further into respectable society than the client ever imagined. Based on the Tales from the Crypt comics tradition, this gleefully irreverent horror-comedy stacks sharp one-liners against buckets of creature-feature carnage. It's pulpy, proudly outrageous, and never takes itself remotely seriously.
