When a guest turns up dead at the Lost Caverns Hotel, bumbling bellhop Freddie Phillips finds himself the prime suspect — a very unfortunate position for a man with more luck than brains. Enter the mysterious Swami Talpur, played by the legendary Boris Karloff, who has his own sinister designs on Freddie involving hypnosis and a whole lot of scheming. Abbott and Costello's signature slapstick collides with genuine whodunit intrigue as a resourceful inspector decides the hapless Freddie makes the perfect unwitting bait. It's classic Hollywood horror-comedy at its most gleefully chaotic.
