The premise
Blonde, bouncy Buffy is your typical high school cheerleader. But all that changes when a strange man informs her she's been chosen by fate to kill vampires.

She's got pom-poms, a mall habit, and a prophecy she never asked for. When a mysterious stranger reveals that Buffy — Valley Girl extraordinaire — is the latest in a long line of vampire slayers, her designer world gets turned upside down. Equal parts teen comedy and creature feature, this cult classic pits cheerleader culture against the undead with gleeful self-awareness. It laid the irreverent groundwork for one of horror's most beloved franchises.
