A meek toy factory worker's lifelong fixation on Christmas curdles into something far more dangerous when he dons the red suit and takes it upon himself to sort the naughty from the nice — permanently. Equal parts character study and seasonal slasher, the film lingers on the slow unraveling of a man who wanted nothing more than to believe in the magic of the holiday. Director Lewis Jackson crafts an oddly melancholic atmosphere that sets it apart from the slicker holiday horrors that followed. Brandon Maggart's committed central performance gives the film an unnerving psychological weight.
