The premise
Alex Cross is a brilliant but flawed homicide detective and full of contradictions. A doting father and family man, Cross is single-minded to the point of obsession when he hunts killers. He is desperate for love, but his wife’s murder has left him too damaged to receive it.

Based on the long-running novel series, Cross follows Alex Cross — a Washington D.C. homicide detective whose razor-sharp mind makes him exceptional at hunting serial killers, yet his personal wounds run just as deep as any case file. Haunted by tragedy at home, he throws himself into his work with an intensity that blurs the line between dedication and obsession. The series explores what it costs a man to stare into darkness for a living, especially when that darkness has already touched his own front door.
