When a quiet young woman accepts a caretaking position in a grand, centuries-old Manhattan townhouse, something in the walls begins to work on her mind. Director Mickey Keating shoots in stark black-and-white, building an almost unbearable tension as the line between the supernatural and psychological breaks down. Lauren Ashley Carter delivers a riveting, largely silent performance as her character's grip on reality — and on herself — steadily erodes.
