Edgar Allan Poe's Lighthouse Keeper2016
“Always Keep A Light Burning!”
Directed by Benjamin Cooper
The premise
Marooned on a remote peninsula and haunted by frightening specters, a young man must confront the grotesque denizens of the night, or heed the Lighthouse Keeper's cryptic warning to, 'Always keep a light burning!'
Horror Vault's take
Stranded on a desolate peninsula with no hope of rescue, a young man finds the night populated by terrifying, unearthly figures that seem to close in with every passing hour. His only possible guide is the enigmatic Lighthouse Keeper, whose insistent warning about keeping a flame alive carries far more weight than it first appears. Rooted in the spirit of Edgar Allan Poe, the film leans into gothic dread and atmospheric menace rather than cheap thrills, letting its remote, fog-drenched setting do much of the haunting.
