The premise
A young woman is lured to an island paradise, where she is drawn into a dark world of pleasure, pain, and murder under the control of a sinister figure.

A naive young woman accepts an invitation to a seemingly idyllic private island, only to find herself ensnared by a wealthy, morally bankrupt circle with very dark appetites. What begins as seduction slowly reveals itself as something far more dangerous, blending erotic excess with genuine menace. Director Jess Franco adapts a notorious literary source into a lurid, stylised nightmare steeped in decadence. Christopher Lee lends his imposing presence to a film that lingers in the memory long after the credits roll.
