The premise
Emily and Nate Weaver leave the city for the rural comfort of Nate’s ancestral home in the country. Once there, Emily is plagued by horrifying visions and haunted by the ghosts inhabiting their isolated new home. When Nate’s behavior undergoes a strange and fearful metamorphosis, Emily fears she might be the latest target in a murderous tradition.

When Emily and Nate Weaver trade city life for the seclusion of his family's old country estate, Emily quickly senses that something deeply wrong has taken root in the house's history. Disturbing visions and ghostly presences begin to erode her sense of safety, while her husband's unsettling change in demeanor raises questions about who — or what — she is really living with. The couple's fresh start slowly curdles into a nightmare rooted in the darkest corners of the home's bloodline. Fertile Ground is a slow-burn Gothic chiller that draws dread from crumbling trust as much as from the supernatural.
