Down on his luck and clinging to custody of his younger sister, Mike Schmidt reluctantly takes a graveyard-shift security job at the long-shuttered Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. The animatronic mascots that once delighted children now lurk in the dark, and Mike quickly realizes the restaurant's cheerful facade hides something deeply wrong. Equal parts mystery and monster movie, the film draws heavily on the lore of the beloved video game series while grounding its scares in genuine emotional stakes.
