The premise
Samantha and Jay throw caution to the wind when they convert their recently inherited country estate into a bed-and-breakfast. Call it mislaid plans. Not only is the place falling apart, but it’s also inhabited by spirits of previous residents -- whom only Samantha can see and hear.

When a couple inherits a crumbling estate and sets out to transform it into a bed-and-breakfast, they quickly discover the property comes with some very opinionated long-term residents — all of whom happen to be dead. A twist of fate leaves Samantha uniquely able to see and interact with the colorful ghosts from across different eras of the home's history, complicating every attempt to get the business off the ground. Equal parts warm-hearted sitcom and supernatural romp, the show mines its premise for both laughs and surprisingly genuine heart. Each ghost brings a distinct personality and backstory that makes the ensemble feel like an unlikely — and irresistible — family.
