The premise
A crew from a paranormal reality television show lock themselves in a haunted psychiatric hospital. They search for evidence of paranormal activity as they shoot what ends up becoming their final episode.

A ghost-hunting reality TV crew seals themselves inside an abandoned psychiatric hospital for what they expect to be just another staged episode — but the building has other plans. As the cameras keep rolling, the line between performance and genuine terror begins to collapse. What starts as familiar found-footage setup escalates into something far more relentless and disorienting, as the hospital itself seems to work against them. Grave Encounters earns its scares by turning the conventions of paranormal reality TV into a trap.
