The premise
Six friends hire a medium to hold a séance via Zoom during lockdown — but they get far more than they bargained for as things quickly go wrong. When an evil spirit starts invading their homes, they begin to realise they might not survive the night.

Shot entirely on Zoom during the COVID-19 lockdowns, Host confines its terror to the small rectangles of a video call — and uses every pixel to devastating effect. Six friends invite a medium to lead a remote séance, accidentally cracking open a door to something malevolent that has no intention of staying on the other side of the screen. What begins as a quirky pandemic pastime escalates into a relentless, suffocating nightmare across multiple home locations simultaneously. At a tight 57 minutes, it wastes absolutely nothing.
