The premise

Aliens from Outer Space are slowly switching places with real humans -- one of the first being a young man about to get married. Slowly, his new wife realizes something is wrong, and her suspicions are confirmed when her husband's odd behaviour begins to show up in other townspeople.

Horror Vault's take

On the eve of her marriage, a young bride could never have imagined that the man she weds is not quite the man she knew. As strange, cold behavior ripples through her husband and across their seemingly ordinary town, her dawning terror becomes impossible to dismiss. This 1958 sci-fi chiller taps into deep anxieties about trust, intimacy, and the creeping fear that the person closest to you may be something else entirely. It stands as a quietly unnerving entry in the golden age of alien-invasion cinema.
