The premise
Four young offenders and their workers spend a weekend in the remote Yorkshire village of Mortlake, which prides on keeping itself to itself. A minor incident with locals rapidly escalates into a blood-soaked, deliriously warped nightmare.

A group of young offenders and their supervisors arrive in the deeply insular Yorkshire village of Mortlake for what should be a routine weekend — but the locals have very different ideas about hospitality. What begins as an uneasy clash between outsiders and an eccentric rural community quickly spirals into something spectacularly savage. Director Alex Chandon delivers a film that revels in over-the-top gore while never losing its bleak sense of British humour. Fans of extreme horror-comedy will find Mortlake a place that's very hard to leave.
