The premise
Nearly a year after a botched job, a hitman takes a new assignment with the promise of a big payoff for three killings. What starts off as an easy task soon unravels, sending the killer into the heart of darkness.

A war-scarred hitman reluctantly returns to work alongside his partner for a seemingly straightforward three-target contract in the English countryside. What begins as a gritty, grounded crime thriller gradually and disquietingly shifts into something far more sinister. Director Ben Wheatley weaves domestic tension, brutal violence, and creeping folk dread into a collision course that offers no easy exits. By the final act, the world the protagonist thought he understood has been pulled completely out from under him.
