A woman regains consciousness inside a coffin with no recollection of who she is or how she got there — and the nightmare only deepens from that moment on. A methodical, chrome-masked serial killer is hunting her, and she must rely on strangers she encounters to have any hope of making it through the night. Laid to Rest is a stripped-down slasher that trades atmosphere for sheer brutality, delivering some of the most viscerally gruesome practical kill effects of its era. Survival here is never guaranteed, and the killer — known as ChromeSkull — quickly carved out a cult following among gore enthusiasts.
