The premise
A vampire hunter in southern California discovers that his son has been murdered by a gang of the undead and thus goes on a quest for revenge.

The streets of Los Angeles hide a thriving vampire subculture, and when a seasoned hunter suffers a devastating personal loss at their hands, his vendetta turns the City of Angels into a very bloody battleground. Modern Vampires plays its premise with a knowing wink, blending action-heavy confrontations and sharp dark comedy against a glitzy 1990s SoCal backdrop. A colourful ensemble cast — including a scenery-chewing Van Helsing figure and vampires who look right at home among the Hollywood elite — keeps the tone deliriously off-kilter throughout.
