The premise
A group of friends emerge from the darkness, bloody and lucky to be alive. Having already lost two friends in the marsh, they break into an empty vacation house to take shelter. Whatever was in the marsh is still after them, but it's not the only thing that wants them dead. Something much worse and more savage lays in wait.

Already bloodied and stripped of two of their number, a group of friends stumbles out of a Cape Cod marsh on St. Patrick's Day desperate for safety — only to find that the horrors lurking in the wetlands have followed them to shore. Breaking into a vacant vacation home offers no real refuge, as something far more savage than the darkness they fled is already waiting. Muck drops viewers into the chaos mid-ordeal, skipping the setup in favor of relentless, escalating dread. The marshland setting gives the film a grimy, claustrophobic atmosphere that keeps the threat feeling uncomfortably close.
