The premise
Jonny Baptiste is a reckless teen sent to live with her estranged Aunt Hildie. On the event of her eighteenth birthday, she experiences a radical metamorphosis: a family spell that redefines her called Forevering. When several teen girls go missing at her new school, a mythically feral Jonny goes after the Perpetrator.

When troubled teenager Jonny Baptiste is shipped off to live with her eccentric Aunt Hildie, she quickly discovers that turning eighteen comes with far more than she bargained for — a mysterious family rite triggers a violent, disorienting change in her very body and instincts. As Jonny struggles to understand what she is becoming, girls her age begin vanishing from her new school, pulling her toward a collision between her awakening nature and something deeply sinister lurking nearby. Director Jennifer Reeder crafts a wildly visceral coming-of-age horror that wears its feminist allegory proudly on its blood-soaked sleeve. Weird, raw, and unapologetically strange, this is indie horror operating on its own unsettling frequency.
