The premise
While under heavily armed guard, the dangerous convicts aboard a cargo ship unite in a coordinated escape attempt that soon escalates into a bloody, all-out riot. But as the fugitives continue their brutal campaign of terror, they soon discover that not even the most vicious among them is safe from the horror they unknowingly unleashed from the darkness below deck.

A heavily guarded cargo ship crossing the Pacific becomes a floating slaughterhouse when its dangerous prisoner cargo stages a savage, coordinated mutiny against their armed escorts. What begins as a brutal battle between convicts and guards rapidly spirals into something far more terrifying when a hidden threat — far deadlier than any criminal on board — is disturbed from its confinement below deck. Director Hong Won-chan unleashes a relentless assault of ultraviolent set-pieces in this Korean genre-blender that refuses to let up from the first frame to the last. Fans of extreme cinema will find the ship's claustrophobic corridors make for an inescapable pressure cooker of carnage.
