The premise

Chicklet is a sixteen-year old tomboy who's desperate to be part of the in-crowd of Malibu beach surfers. She's the typical American girl - except for one little problem: her personality is split into more slices than a pepperoni pizza.

Beneath the bronzed, carefree surface of 1960s Malibu beach culture lurks something far more unsettling than a bad wipeout. Chicklet is a teenage girl chasing acceptance among the local surf elite, but her cheerful ambitions are complicated by alarming blackouts and radically different personalities that seem to have a life of their own. When a killer starts stalking the sun-drenched shoreline, the mystery and the mayhem collide in ways nobody sees coming. This gleefully trashy send-up of beach movies and slasher conventions plays it campy and clever in equal measure.
