The premise
A struggling vampire romance novelist must defend herself against real-life vampires during Christmas in Lake Tahoe.

A down-on-her-luck vampire romance writer gets a terrifyingly literal education in her favourite subject when real vampires descend on her Lake Tahoe cabin over Christmas. What begins as a yuletide writing retreat quickly turns into a bloody battle for survival against creatures straight out of her own novels. Equal parts festive chaos and campy horror, the film delights in skewering vampire fiction tropes while keeping the stakes — pun intended — genuinely deadly.
