The premise
Dr. Joyce Reardon, a psychology professor, commissions a team of psychics and a gifted autistic girl to find out the truth about an old, supposedly haunted mansion called Rose Red.
Horror Vault's take
When a driven psychology professor recruits a motley group of psychics — including a remarkably gifted autistic girl — to investigate the sprawling, legend-soaked mansion known as Rose Red, she gets far more than academic validation. The estate seems to breathe with a malevolent life of its own, and once inside, the team quickly discovers that Rose Red does not give up its secrets willingly. Stephen King's made-for-TV miniseries builds its dread slowly, layering paranormal set pieces atop a deeply human story of ambition and belief.
