The premise
Chloe, a teenager who is confined to a wheelchair, is homeschooled by her mother, Diane. Chloe soon becomes suspicious of her mother and begins to suspect that she may be harboring a dark secret.

Raised in isolation and confined to a wheelchair, teenager Chloe has known nothing but her devoted mother Diane's careful, all-encompassing care. When a nagging suspicion about her own medications begins to take root, Chloe starts pulling at threads that her mother would very much prefer left alone. What unfolds is a tightly wound battle of wits between a young woman desperate for truth and a parent whose love may mask something far more sinister. Sarah Paulson and Kiera Allen deliver performances that keep the tension coiled from the first frame to the last.
