The premise

Centuries ago, under the sands of ancient Egypt, a Prince was buried and his tomb eternally cursed so that no man would ever again suffer from his evil ways. But hundreds of years later on a greedy search for treasure, a group of archaeologists break the cursed seal of the tomb. Every man vanishes without a trace, leaving behind only a log book, and a deadly warning of the legend of the bloodthirsty Talos.

Horror Vault's take

Deep beneath the Egyptian desert, an ancient prince was entombed and cursed for eternity — a warning meant to protect the living from a terror beyond comprehension. When a modern expedition breaks that seal in pursuit of treasure, the archaeologists disappear without explanation, leaving only a cryptic journal and a dire legend behind. Now, investigators must race to uncover the truth about the bloodthirsty entity known as Talos before it claims more victims in the heart of civilization. This late-90s creature feature puts a visceral, urban spin on the classic mummy mythos.
