The premise

Right before summer vacation, a "forbidden game" is secretly played at a high school. After some students take part in it, their ordinary days begin to change, and before long, a "certain incident" occurs. Taking the situation seriously, the school brings in a counselor, Koharu, to provide mental care for the students who witnessed the incident. However, one of the students who played the "game" turns out to be Koharu's sister, Nanami. One by one, the students are drawn into bizarre phenomena.

Horror Vault's take

When a forbidden game spreads through a Japanese high school just before summer break, the students who dared to play soon find their everyday lives warped by inexplicable and terrifying phenomena. A school counselor named Koharu is called in to support the traumatised witnesses — only to discover her own younger sister is among those who participated. Caught between professional duty and desperate personal stakes, Koharu must confront a creeping horror that refuses to stay contained. This J-horror entry channels the genre's signature slow-burn dread as the line between rumour and reality dissolves.
