The premise
Tensions rise within an asbestos cleaning crew as they work in an abandoned mental hospital with a horrific past that seems to be coming back.
Horror Vault's take
An asbestos removal crew wins a bid to gut a long-abandoned Massachusetts psychiatric hospital, hoping to finish fast and move on. Instead, the cavernous ruins — with their scarred walls and forgotten patient records — begin to work on the men's minds in ways none of them anticipated. As one worker grows obsessed with a series of taped therapy sessions found deep within the building, cracks spread through the team and the line between the hospital's dark history and the present starts to blur. Session 9 is a masterclass in atmosphere, letting the location itself become the film's most unnerving presence.
