The premise
The U.S. Navy's special group "Blue Water" builds a half-shark, half-octopus for combat. But the sharktopus escapes and terrorizes the beaches of Puerto Vallarta.

A secret U.S. Navy program pushes genetic engineering way past its limits, splicing shark and octopus DNA into a single deadly weapon. When the creature breaks free of its handlers, the sun-soaked beaches of Puerto Vallarta become a very dangerous place to take a vacation. Part creature feature, part gleeful B-movie spectacle, Sharktopus leans hard into its own ridiculous premise and never looks back. Roger Corman's fingerprints are all over this proudly low-budget monster romp.
