The premise
After inexplicably surviving a plane crash, TV station worker Denise tries to get on with her life. She soon learns that she was actually supposed to die in the crash. Death refuses to be cheated and starts sending its minions, people that have recently died, to collect her.

When Denise walks away from a catastrophic plane crash as the only survivor, the miracle quickly sours into something far more sinister. Forces beyond the living world seem to take notice of her impossible luck, and the blank-faced strangers who begin appearing around her carry a chill that no coincidence can explain. This lean, understated 1984 chiller builds its dread quietly, relying on atmosphere and an encroaching sense of doom rather than spectacle. If death has a ledger, Denise's name is still very much on it.
