The premise

Deep in the French countryside, a dangerous man crosses paths with a woman stranded by the roadside — and what begins as an uneasy companionship darkens into something far more sinister. Director Philippe Grandrieux crafts a visceral, avant-garde nightmare that sits closer to waking dream than conventional thriller. Stark imagery and a near-wordless dread replace traditional narrative, placing the viewer uncomfortably close to both hunter and hunted.
