The premise
Ella Blake, a stop-motion animator struggling to control her demons after the loss of her overbearing mother, embarks upon the creation of a film that becomes the battleground for her sanity. As Ella’s mind starts to fracture, the characters in her project take on a life of their own.

Ella Blake is a stop-motion animator unraveling in the wake of her mother's death, pouring her anguish into a new film that quickly begins to consume her. The line between her inner world and the figures she sculpts grows dangerously thin, as the characters she creates seem to develop a will of their own. Anchored by an intense lead performance from Aisling Franciosi, Stopmotion is a slow-burn descent into the horror of an artist losing herself to her work.
