The premise
When an ex-cop named Fallon returns to the scene of a horrific crime, the residents of a rural town soon discover that this dark visitor is really a vampire who feeds on blood and fear. After he is befriended by a kind immigrant family, the instinctive killer is faced with a choice between revenge and redemption.

A mysterious stranger with a violent past descends on a quiet rural town, and it doesn't take long for locals to sense something deeply wrong about him. Beneath the guise of an ex-cop lies a predator ancient in appetite and ruthless in purpose — yet an unexpected bond with a warm immigrant family begins to complicate his darkest instincts. Sunrise pits the hunger for vengeance against the possibility of something resembling humanity, wrapped in a slow-burn, character-driven dread.
