Three American tourists venture off the beaten path in rural Japan, lured by a cryptic map pointing to a forgotten temple hidden deep in the jungle. What begins as a thrill-seeking cultural expedition unravels into something far darker when the group disturbs forces that were never meant to be found. Drawing on Japanese folklore and the eerie power of sacred — and profane — spaces, the film pits its characters against a malevolent presence with no interest in mercy. The jungle closes in, and escape proves anything but certain.
