The premise
After Stanley Putterman installs a state-of-the-art satellite dish in his backyard, a strange monster leaps off the screen and needs to feed on humans for survival. The Putterman children Sherman and Suzy—along with Suzy's metalhead boyfriend O.D.—are left to figure out what to do.

When a well-meaning suburban dad upgrades the family entertainment setup with a cutting-edge satellite dish, he accidentally opens a channel to something far beyond cable — a ravenous extraterrestrial creature with an appetite for human flesh. Left to fend for themselves, the Putterman kids and their heavy-metal-loving companions must deal with a slobbering houseguest that no remote control can switch off. TerrorVision leans hard into its own absurdity, gleefully skewering 1980s pop culture and middle-class excess with buckets of slime and a wink. It's pure late-night cult fodder that never takes itself seriously for a single frame.
