The premise

The four Johnson brothers have inherited the powers of the Norse gods. Because the gods lived eons ago, however, time has diluted the powers. The unique ability that each brother possesses isn't very strong, and they still have the same desires and faults that mortals do. Their lives include sibling rivalry, trying to get girls, and hanging out; but they also want to be stronger, and so they embark on a quest to fulfill an ancient prophecy in hope of gaining the full strength of their abilities.

When a group of New Zealand brothers discover they are mortal vessels for the Norse gods, they find their divine inheritance comes with more awkwardness than grandeur. Centuries of dormancy have left their godly powers frustratingly underpowered, and the brothers must navigate ordinary life — jobs, relationships, family drama — alongside an ancient prophecy that could change everything. Set against a distinctly Kiwi backdrop, the show blends deadpan comedy with genuine mythological stakes. It's a fresh, irreverent take on what it might actually feel like to be a god who can't quite get it together.
