The premise
A devout community suffering from a plague is torn apart by a beautiful young woman and the forces of witchcraft, black magic, and possession.

Set against a dying rural landscape in 1973, a deeply insular religious community watches its crops wither and its people suffer under a mysterious blight — while a young woman named Audrey Earnshaw emerges as a darkly magnetic and dangerous presence in their midst. As fear and suspicion curdle into something far more sinister, the community's rigid piety proves no shield against the ancient forces gathering around them. Director Thomas Robert Lee crafts a slow-burn descent into folk horror dread, steeped in autumnal atmosphere and mounting menace.
