Captain Mack leads an elite military unit on a search for a missing scientist, and comes face-to-face with an an ancient evil lying beneath the Middle Eastern desert. Evil that is not of this world. Evil that should never be unearthed.

When a covert military unit is dispatched to locate a missing scientist somewhere beneath the Middle Eastern desert, they discover the mission is far deadlier than any briefing could have prepared them for. Something ancient and deeply malevolent has been disturbed in the subterranean darkness — something that defies rational explanation. With a powerhouse ensemble including Cuba Gooding Jr., Ray Winstone, and Ron Perlman, this claustrophobic genre mash-up pits heavily armed mercenaries against a threat no firepower can easily answer.
