The premise

Set in the Aokigahara Forest, a real-life place in Japan where people go to end their lives. Against this backdrop, a young American woman comes in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared.

At the foot of Mount Fuji lies Aokigahara, Japan's infamous 'suicide forest' — a place steeped in legend and dread. When her twin sister vanishes inside its dense, disorienting depths, a determined American woman ventures in to find her against all warnings. What she encounters challenges the boundary between grief-fueled paranoia and genuine supernatural menace. The forest, it seems, has a way of making visitors see things they may not be ready to face.
