The malevolent curse originating from a house of tragedy has followed its survivors to a Chicago apartment building, leaving a trail of broken bodies and shattered minds in its wake. When the lone witness to a previous massacre dies under mysterious circumstances, the doctor tasked with his care begins digging into the horrifying claims he made about a pale, long-haired apparition. A young Japanese woman arrives at the cursed building with knowledge that may be the tenants' only hope — but the Grudge has never been known to loosen its grip. This third chapter keeps the slow-burn dread of the franchise alive as an ordinary family finds itself trapped between worlds.
