The premise
On the eve of his high school graduation, unremarkable Will Kidman finally bonds with the girl he has long yearned for, reclusive Eliana Wynter. But he also discovers a dark secret from his past... that he is about to become a werewolf. Now, in an effort to fight destiny and save their love as well as their lives, they must battle not only Will's growing blood lust but an army of fearsome beasts bent on killing them... and then, us all.

On the cusp of graduation, an ordinary teenage boy's world is upended when a long-buried secret about his bloodline surfaces at the worst possible moment. A budding romance with a mysterious classmate becomes the one thing worth fighting for as something monstrous stirs within him. Caught between who he is and what he may become, he and the girl he loves must survive a mounting werewolf threat that has its sights set far beyond the two of them. This late-entry franchise chapter leans into young-adult drama while still delivering lycanthropic carnage.
