The premise
A New York taxi driver stalks a beautiful actress attending the Cannes Film Festival, which coincides with a series of violent killings of the lady's friends.

A unhinged New York cab driver fixates on a glamorous scream queen and follows her all the way to the glittering Cannes Film Festival, convinced he can make her his leading lady. As the festival buzzes with parties and premieres, people close to his obsession begin turning up dead in increasingly gruesome fashion. Shot on location amid real Cannes crowds, the film cheekily blurs the line between the movie industry's love of horror and actual on-screen carnage. It's a grubby, sun-drenched slice of early-80s exploitation that plays its meta angles for both laughs and genuine unease.
