When a road trip goes sideways at a rural truck stop, a doctor and his rebellious teenage daughter find themselves in the last place either of them wanted to spend quality time together — surrounded by ravenous, flesh-hungry undead. Equal parts gross-out horror and self-aware comedy, The Mad leans hard into B-movie charm with Billy Zane anchoring the chaos. It's a scrappy, low-budget creature feature that doesn't take itself too seriously, delivering splatter and laughs in roughly equal measure.
