The premise
The mother of a missing child takes in a lost girl she finds in the woods, but soon begins to wonder if she is even human.

Still raw from the disappearance of her son, a grieving mother discovers a mysterious young girl alone in the forest near South Korea's Jirisan Mountain and brings her home out of compassion. As strange occurrences begin to mount, unease spreads through the household and questions arise about the true nature of their new guest. Rooted in Korean folklore surrounding mountain spirits, the film weaponizes a mother's desperation against her, blurring the line between hope and haunting. What starts as an act of kindness quietly curdles into something deeply sinister.
